How to Install Kali Linux on your own OS with help of virtual OS workstation

Installation and use of Kali Linux on your  Operating System.

 

  All you need is :

  • A virtual machine installed on your computer like VMware workstation, Oracle Virtual Machine, etc.
    You can easily download any virtual machine and install it.
  • An iso image of Kali Linux



 Steps after installing virtual machine -

  • Your virtual machine will open like the one shown below.
  • Click on "Create a new virtual machine".
           VMware Workstation -
  •  Select Typical configuration and proceed.
  • Select Installer disc image file and browse for the ISO file you have. Click on next.
  • Give a name of virtual machine for Kali Linux and click next.
  • You can set maximum disk size to be used and click next.

  • Click on finish.

  • The below screen will show up soon. Select "Graphical Install" and press Enter.


  •  Select language and proceed.

  • Configure keyboard
  
  •  Enter the host name and continue.

  •  You may leave domain name and continue.

  •   Enter root password.
  • Continue
  • You may click Yes and continue

  •  Enter Root password and press "Unlock".
  • You may continue with installing grub boot loader -

  • Enter user name and password that you set earlier



  •  Now you are started with the Kali Linux screen 

  • You can learn about any application tool and use them

  • To open terminal : Applications -> Accessories -> Terminal
