Important Keywords for fast and efficient searching in Google :

Almost every one of us mostly spend our time searching on Google, while surfing the internet. So why not do that in a more efficient manner, so that we get the exact results and it also saves our time.

 

1. SITE:

Use this keyword to search for websites or domains.

for example : 

site:.pk (it will search for websites with domain ".pk")

site:.gov.in 

2. inurl :

Use this keyword for searching, which includes the given name in its URL(Uniform Resource Locator).

for example : 

inurl:password.xls (it will search urls including "password.xls")

NOTE :

You can merge the keywords for better searching.

for example : 

site:.com inurl:login.php
site:gov.in inurl:admin.php

3. filetype :

To search for files or documents of specified type, like a pdf file, powerpoint presentation, flash files, etc.

for example : 

cloud computing filetype:pdf (it will give you pdf results for the given topic)

4. allinurl:

It will search for whatever query terms you write, with condition that all of the terms must be contained in the url.

 for example : 

allinurl: /examples/uploadbutton.html (it will give urls which includes all these terms)

5.intext :

It will give the url results whose text contains the given terms (not necessarily in url, but the terms should be in its text)

for example :

intext:neural networking (gives the url links whose text contains the term "neural networking")

6. allintext :

Similarly like allinurl, in allintext, all terms must be contained in the text

for example : 

allintext:cyber cells in india (search all terms in text not url)

7. intitle :

It will provide the links or urls, whose title will include the given term

for example : 

intitle:hotspot

8. define :

Well, this is the very important keyword for instant searching of definitions of any term.

for example : 

define:computer networks

define:steganography 

9. indexof:

It will most probably provide you urls containing directories or lists for the given terms

for example : 

indexof:/books/engineering

indexof:/question papers/12th board
