WHICH SOFTWARE MUST BE LEARNED IN MECHANICAL ENGINEERING BEFORE JOINING INDUSTRIES

WHAT ARE THE SOFTWARE A MECHANICAL ENGINEER MUST LEARN IN ENGINEERING

A Famous quote is so suitable here "Jack of all and master of one "

if you are mechanical engineer and thinking what software i should learn so that companies just give me job after reviewing my resume so let me tell you truth this is not so going to happen.

>Companies seek for student who know maximum software and master of one , and select those student who are master in that software whose licence company purchased.since licence of such softwares are too costly

For example:-
Inventor (Autodesk Inventor):-4,376,40 rs
Solidworks company cost:-4,800,00 rs
Solidworks students cost:-9000rs

>Note:- (just software aprox cost , no training cost added)

>So point number one  leaned target based software but before that  let me give you step step by understanding of mechanical software

Lets start with names of Software used in Mechanical Engineering
  • C++
  • PYTHON

>(c++  and python are language they develop student logical thinking)
  • AUTOCAD
  • AUTODESK INVENTOR
  • MATLAB
  • LaTEX
  • CATIA
  • SOLIDWORKS
  • HYPERWORKS ( BOTH ARE DIFFERENT SOFTWARES )
  • SOLID EDGE
  • ANSYS
  • FLUENT
  • CREO PTC/PRO-E
  • UNIGRAPHICS/NX
  • LABVIEW
  • SOLIDCAM
Now since you know names of software you might be thinking so many software from where i should start learning then let tell you few steps before learning any software.

> First of all select your area in mechanical in which type of area you want to bein future for example
  • Automobile designing
  • Research and development
  • Aeronautics designing
  • Machine designing
  • Parts component designing
  • Parts Assembly
  • Parts Fabrication
>These were some example where people normally go after doing mechanical (not taking about ME engineer joint computer companies)

>Guys first of let me tell you companies select that guys who knows software  which is already being used  in that company and student knows it very well ,so if you wanna be in big industry then search what software they use for designing then learn it and apply there.

> So if you select or want to be in Research and development field in near future then learn all of them (all of them contains different things that no other software can  beat,  each software is unique in its own terms other )(c++  and python are language they develop student logical thinking)

>If you wanna be in Automobile sector and specially Automobile designing then i would recommend

  • MATLAB
  • CATIA
  • SOLIDWORKS
  • SOLID EDGE
  • HYPERWORKS
  • ANSYS
  • CREO PTC/PRO-E
  • UNIGRAPHICS/NX

(do not forget to consult institue about different levels of software )

>These software are more then what industry seek in a person, but again depends on industries which software licence they purchase.

>If you wanna be in Aeronautics designing then i would recommend

  • MATLAB
  • CATIA
  • SOLIDWORKS
  • ANSYS
  • CREO PTC/PRO-E
  • UNIGRAPHICS/NX

>If you wanna be in Machine designing then i would recommend

  • AUTOCAD
  • AUTODESK INVENTOR
  • CATIA
  • SOLIDWORKS
  • CREO PTC/PRO-E
  • UNIGRAPHICS/NX

>If you wanna be in Parts component designing, Parts Assembly, Parts Fabrication then i would recommend (since in all these jobs only and most important things is to understand drawings and to generate G&M codes of CNN machines)

  • SOLIDCAM
  • AUTOCAD
  • AUTODESK INVENTOR

> In the coming post i will definitely tell you about importance of every software and common software that must be learned
