Keyboard Shortcuts You Might Not Know!
Sometimes it’s very hectic surfing the internet, but if you learn some tricks or you can say some keyboard shortcuts, it will be much easier for you the next time ;)
Pausing a video on YouTube
- You can easily pause a YouTube video by clicking the “K” key and to resume the video, press “K” again.
Handling Browser Content & Tabs
Apply these handy shortcuts to manage browser tabs as well as content easily!
- For opening a new tab, press<Ctrl><T>
- For closing any open Tab press <Ctrl><W>
- For getting full screen view of the browser, press “F11″ and re-press it(“F11”) to resume the normal view.
- For increasing the size of text, hold the <Ctrl> and press “+”, similarly, for decreasing the text size, hold the <Ctrl> and press “-”.
- For resetting the size of text, Hold the <Ctrl> and press “O”.
- For moving from one Tab to another, hold the <Ctrl>and press <Page Up> or <Ctrl><Page Down>.
- For reopening the closed tab, press<Ctrl><Shift><T>. You can open the last window that was closed.
- For finding something like any specific word in a web page, open a find tool by clicking <Ctrl><F> and carry on with your search.
- For opening link in new tab, press the <Ctrl> key and click the link, it will open in new tab. You can also press the <Ctrl> key and then press the wheel of the mouse keeping the cursor on the link; it will also result in the same.
Entering a new website
Whenever you want to enter a new website, you need to type http:// or www before the website name. You can skip that!
- For ".com" websites, just type the name of the website and press <Ctrl><Enter>. By default this will add “http://www.” in front and “.com” towards the end of the website.
- If the website has “.org” then user would need to use <Ctrl><Shift><Enter> keys.
- If the website has “.net” then user would need to use <Shift><Enter> keys to get the full website name.
